Joe Biden expressed his gratitude for the words of support that have poured from all over the world, including a private letter from the British King Charles, after former US president announced his diagnosis of cancer on Sunday.

“Cancer touches all of us,” Biden wrote on social media on Monday morning. “Like so many of you, Jill and I learned that we are the strongest in broken places. Thank you for lifting us with love and support.”

On Sunday, Biden’s cabinet revealed that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, which spread in his bones.

The news is coming as new issues are raised about the former president while he has been in service.

“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by an evaluation of Gleason 9 (Group 5) with bone metastases,” said a message from Biden’s office.

“Although this is a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer seems hormone sensitive, allowing effective management.”

The result of Gleason of nine means that his disease is classified as “high quality” and cancer cells can spread rapidly, according to the Cancer Research UK.

There were questions about how long this cancer could have had and whether the disease affects him while he was still in office.

Biden said his diagnosis was made on Friday after reporting symptoms of urine, which made doctors find a small knot on his prostate.

As a result of the cancer diagnosis, many have offered Biden their support, including President Donald Trump, former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris.

King Charles has written privately to offer Biden, offering his support and best wishes, said Buckingham Palace.

The King, a 76 -year -old, who has met Biden many times, also receives the treatment of unspecified cancer after his diagnosis in 2024.

Then Biden had sent his best wishes, saying, “I’m concerned about him. I just heard about his diagnosis. I will talk to him, God wishes.”

Vance raises questions about Biden’s health during office

Vice President J.

“We really have to be honest if the former president was able to do the job,” Vance said on Monday. “And this is … you can separate the desire to have the right health result with the admission that, regardless of whether it is doctors or whether there were employees around the former president, I do not think that he has been able to do a good job for the American people.”

Vance also said he blamed the people around him more than Biden himself.

“This is not a child’s game and we can pray for good health, but we can also admit that if you are not in good enough health to do the job, you should not do the job,” he added.

The message comes when Biden rejects criticism from an upcoming book that claims that he and his advisers have hidden worsening health while he was in the White House.

Details revealed last week by the book, entitled “Original Sin: President Biden’s decline, his concealment, and his catastrophic choice to run again, include Biden not to recognize the actor and frequent democratic donor Clooney.

The book will be released on Tuesday.

Nearly a year ago, the former president was forced to abandon the 2024 presidential election because of his concerns about his health and age.
