Celebrations in the West Bank after the return of released Palestinian prisoners

The BBC’s John Donison watched in Ramallah as Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel were greeted by cheering crowds in the West Bank.

Israel is expected to release up to 200 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday, but about 70 will be deported.

Earlier, four Israeli hostages returned to Israel after being handed over to the Red Cross by Hamas in Gaza City.

It is the second installment of an Israeli hostage release and Palestinian prisoner swap since a ceasefire was agreed earlier this month.
