Given this and other recent milestones, Peng says that at least one BCI system can get approval in China by 2027 is realistic.

Director of the Chinese Institute for Brain Research (CIBR) in Beijing has agreed that the country is quite good on the way to meet the targets set by the new policy documents. “This is basically an engineering project, not so ambitious target. Already, many people are working on it,” he said.

Luo is a spin -off of CBIR, the chief scientist of the Neusber Neurotek, which has made a coin -shaped brain chip called Bino -1 and has yet planted it among five people. “We have observed great protection and stability in our clinical evaluation,” he said.

Luo says the recipients, who are paralyzed, are now able to transfer a computer cursor and navigate to smartphone applications. The team plans to plant the sixth patient in late August.

“We believe that there is a significant unmeatable BCI technology in China,” he said. He assumes that at least 1 to 2 million patients in the country can benefit from BCIS for help and rehabilitation.

Out of these uses, other treatment applications are provided in policy documents. It says that BCIS can be used to monitor and analyze brain activity in real time to prevent or reduce the risk of a certain brain disease. It also supports customer applications as drivers observe alert. The document states that a wearing BCI can provide timely precautions for shortness and slow reactions, helping to reduce the chances of traffic accidents.

“I think nonnasive BCI products will grow a huge market in China, because China is the largest consumer electronics manufacturing country,” said Peng.

Some US companies, including emotivals and pneumors, have begun to sell consumer in the use of electronic fatography or EEG to capture the brain waves on the skin of the head. But the devices are still expensive and have not yet been able to close more widely.

China’s policy documents, already, are promoting extensive production of non-implantable devices in various forms-Mount-mounted, head-mounted, ear mounts, ear buds and helmets, glasses and headphones. It also offers to drive BCI to specific industries for protection management such as handling, nuclear power, excavation and electricity. The document suggests that BCIS workplace events can provide primary precautions for low oxygen levels, poisoning and unconsciousness.

The new policy guidelines have seen a place for inter-state cooperation among the Peng entrepreneurs while establishing a China-US rivalry in the BCI Space. “We can cooperate as a society to create something for patients, because they are desperate to live a better life for this technology,” he said. “We don’t want to be involved in any geo -political affairs. We just want to create something useful for patients.”
