Christian Horner was fired as director of the Red Bull team after 20 years in the role.

The 51-year-old has led the Formula One team since his setup in 2005, which leads them to eight driver championships and six championship titles.

The dismissal follows the months of reducing the form for the team and the internal disputes at the highest level. He also came 17 months after Horner was sexual harassment and forced, controlling behavior by an employee.

Horner was twice cleared of allegations, first after Internal investigation conducted by a lawyer, then by another lawyer who dismiss the complainant’s appeal.

“Red Bull has released Christian Horner from his operating duties today,” the mother of the mother of the Red Bull GmbH team said in a statement on Wednesday.

While Horner was removed from his role, this was not clear whether he had officially left the company or there was still an agreement or compensation.

The Englishman will be replaced as the team director and CEO of Red Bull Racing by Laurent Makis, who is promoted by the second Racing Bulls team.

The 48-year-old Frenchman has been in the role of the 2024 season and has previously been a Racing Director for Ferrari.

The Englishman Alan Pernan, 58, was promoted to the director of the racing bull team from his position as a racing director.
