All the evidence so far suggests that Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota has been driving when his car crashed on a Spanish highway and he probably exceeded, police say.
Liverpool’s 28-year-old was killed with his brother Andre Silva, at 25, when their Lamborghini car had a suspect of a tire in northwestern Zamora province early Thursday.
Spain’s civil police in the wardrobe said that at a time when the car apparently overtook the A52 highway near Palacios de Sanabria when it left the road and burst into flames.
“Everything also points to an excessive speed beyond the speed limit (highway),” said local traffic police police.
Police said they had been investigating brands left by one of Lamborghini’s tires and that “all tests conducted so far show that the driver of the crashed vehicle is Diogo Jota.”
The expert report is preparing for the accidents in the accident and it is understood that their investigation was made more complicated than the intensity of the fire, which almost completely destroyed the car.
The incident happened 11 days after Jota married her long -term partner Rute Cardoso in Portugal. The couple had three children.
The brothers headed to the Spanish port of Santander so that Jota could return to Liverpool for pre -season training.
Their funeral took place in their hometown of Gondomar, near Porto over the weekend.
The tire markings are reported to be visible about 100 m (330 feet) from the moment of impact.
Although there were suggestions that the asphalt on the road was uneven where the crash took place, police told the Spanish media that it was no accident a “black spot” and the road had to be driven beyond the speed of 120 km/h (75MP).
