Discord announced on Tuesday that it rebuilt its overlay from the ground -up.
The streaming games at Discord at the end of the new overlay sture make more user-friendly.
In its legacy, Streams can toggle the overlay display to use Discords while playing games, but it will bring the entire Discard client to the center of the screen, blocked the stream and create a cloak user experience.
In the new version of the overlay, users can add specific Discord Widgets that will easily appear around the screen for access, making it possible to view the messages and adjust the sound and video settings without pulling the entire Discard client. These widgets can be customized for opaque, sized and placement on the screen.
If any other friend is streaming at the same time, the image-in-picture widget allows you to see their feed from your overlay, which can help play online games. Users can watch other user webcam videos if they are in live chat.
Discord says that overlay features will be compatible with more games and work with smooth performance.
Discord is also unveiling some updates on his desktop app. Dark mode enthusiasts will be pleased to find out that the platform is getting more free the theme, so that you can toggle in black and gray (ash, dark -dark and onx specific) in a slightly different shed. The new UI concentration options allow users to customize the word interval.
