Dolly Parton’s sister asked fans to pray for the American Country singer, who postponed Las Vegas’s upcoming residence last week due to unspecified health problems.
The 79-year-old music legend delayed the concerts in December, telling fans that he needed “several procedures” to cope with the constant “challenges to health”.
“I was all night long, praying for my sister, Dolly,” Faida Parton wrote on Facebook. “Many of you know that she has not been feeling best lately.
“I really believe in the power of prayer and made me ask the whole world who loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”
Fried ended her message with an optimistic note.
“She is strong, she is loved and with all the prayers that rise for her, I know that in my heart she will be fine,” she wrote.
“Godspeed, my Sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
A spokesman for the singer told CBS News, the BBC American partner that she will publish a message on social media on Wednesday, which “will handle everyone’s concerns.”
