Donald Trump accuses Zelenski of Gambling with Third World War

Furious Donald Trump has encountered Volodimir Zelenski, with the US president told his Ukrainian counterpart to make a deal with Russia, “or we’re out.”

The couple repeatedly interrupted during a heated exchange in a way that is rarely seen in the White House.

At one point, angry -looking Trump said Zelenski was not grateful enough for US military and political support and that he “gambling with the Third World War.”

Zelenski said there should be no “no compromise” with Russian President Vladimir Putin – but Trump said Kiev would have to make discounts to reach a peaceful deal with Russia.

The meeting was intended as a prelude to the two mineral transaction that did not move on.

Zelenski asked “What diplomacy?” Before being accused by the Vice-President of being disrespectful.

The discussion then escalates quickly, as Trump and Vance accused the President of Ukraine of being ungrateful for three years since US support during the war with Russia, with Trump saying he was not able to tell the United States how he should feel.

“Today we had a very meaningful meeting in the White House,” he writes. “She has learned a lot that she can never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure.

“It’s amazing what comes out through emotion and I decided that President Zelenski is not ready for peace if America is involved because he thinks his involvement gives him a great advantage in negotiations. I don’t want an advantage, I want peace.”

He added that Zelenski “can return when he is ready for peace.”

The two leaders were expected to sign a deal providing Washington access to Ukrainian oil, gas and rare minerals, which was later confirmed that it had not occurred.
