Dozens of people are afraid to have been killed in a fire at a nightclub in northern Macedonia, according to reports in local media.

The blaze erupted in the early hours of Sunday at the Pulse Club in Kokani, a city about 100 km (60 miles) east of the capital, Skopje.

The footage published on social media shows that the building absorbed by flames with smoke in the night sky.

Local media outlets say that up to 50 years may have been killed and many other injured, but there is no official confirmation.

It is alleged that the fire began around 03:00 (02:00 GMT) during the ADN group, the place being still on fire hours later.

It is alleged that about 1500 attended the concert.
