Eyewitnesses describe a collapse of the ski lift

Eyewitnesses have described the moment a ski lift collapsed in the Spanish Pyrenees, leaving at least 17 people seriously injured.

One boy said people were “flying and doing pirouettes” when “the whole chair suddenly started bouncing”.

Ambulances and helicopters took the injured to hospital.

The reason for the failure of the chair lift is currently unknown.
