After Taking Return on “Oji Facebook” early this year, On Thursday the social network announced an update that would give users an easy way to connect with friends. The company is launching a new Facebook Friends Tab that will only show updates from friends without any other proposed content. Meta explains in a blog post that this idea is the idea of bringing back the focused features on Facebook’s original mission to connect with people through social media experience.
The tab, which is initially available in the United States and Canada, will be present in their posts, reels, stories, birthdays and friend requests.
Previously, the tab just provided a place to visit your friend’s requests and other “people you know”.

The CEO did not say what kind of changes would be saved, but the Friends tab update was the first of many who would roll out this year.

“For years, Facebook has developed to meet the changing demand and created the best-class experience throughout groups, videos, marketplaces and more, but friends’ magic has gone,” said the post.
The new Friends tab is available through the navigation bar on Facebook’s home feed and will be accessible through the bookmark section of the app, the company says.
