The US National Meteorological Service reported at least six other tornadoes in Missouri and neighboring Illinois, with more severe weather, extending east to the Atlantic coast.

The radar of the National Meteorological Service offered the tornado to touch shortly after 14:30 local time west of the city, near Forest Park – the House of the Zoo St. Louis and the place of the 1904 Olympic Games.

The St. Louis fire service said three people should be rescued after part of the centenary’s nearby Christian church collapsed. One of these people died.

It is necessary to police from 9:00 pm to 6:00 local time in the two areas where the bigger part of the damage has occurred to prevent injuries from debris and to reduce the potential for robbery.

St. Louis Mayor Kara Spencer said, “Our city grieves tonight. The loss of life and destruction is really, really terrifying.

“We will have a lot of work to do in the coming days. There is no doubt there, but tonight we are focused on saving life and preserving people safe and allowing our community to mourn.”
