Two cookbooks have accused Tiktok Influencer Brook Bellamy of copying their recipes.

Nagi Maehashi, the Australian founder of the popular recite of the food website, said that Mrs. Bellamy’s cookbook contains recipes with “Sweets for word for mine”.

Maehashi is the author of two cookbooks and her website, which she started in 2014, attracts a monthly readership audience of 45 million page views.

D -Ja Bellamy owns three branches of Brookie Bakehouse, all in Queensland, which were created in 2022. It is also a popular bakery of Ticktock with two million followers.

Maehashi said she had contacted the publisher of G -ja Bellamy, Penguin Random House Australia, adding that “they have brought lawyers and resort to what I feel legal.”

“It feels like the screaming operation of my work. To see them plagiarized and used in a book on profit, without permission and without credit, not just feels unfair,” she added.

Maehashi has retained its legal advice and wrote both Bellamy and Penguin.

Bake with Brooki was published in October 2024 and has since sold $ 4.6 million ($ 2.1 million; $ 2.9) copies.
