Timothy White/Disney Total Fun content through Getty ImagesFormer Superman Actor Dean Kane has announced that he is planning to join the US Agency for Immigration and Customs Act, known as ICE.
In an interview on Wednesday, Kane, who is already a sworn law enforcement officer, said, “He will swear as an ASAP ice agent.”
This comes after he released a video encouraging public members to join after recruiting staff from the agency behind the Trump administration deportation scheme.
Cain played the role of Superman between 1993 and 1997 in the television series Lois and Clark: Superman’s new adventures.
He continued to star in a number of other films and television shows, and has also directed.
At the end of July, ICE announced that it aims to hire an additional 10,000 new staff, double the number of the agency, as it increases deportations across the country.
We especially hope to hire deportation employees, along with lawyers, criminal investigators, jurors of student visa and other roles.
Speaking on Fox News on Wednesday, Kane said: “Yesterday I released a recruitment video – I’m actually a sworn deputy sheriff and a backup police officer – I was not part of ice, but after putting it there and you put a little blurry in my show, it went crazy.”
“So now I talked to some ice employees and I will swear as an ice agent as soon as possible.”

BBC News contacted the Ministry of Interior Security (DHS) for comment.
US President Donald Trump swore to increase the pace of US deportations to one million a year.
Some of these efforts have included increased raids on immigration since Trump became president.
They have caused protests in cities in the United States, with critics calling the attacks illegal.
On July 29, ICE announced that it was offering staffing bonuses up to $ 50,000 (£ 37,700) and a student aid for Americans, interested in helping the Trump administration deporting.
As part of recruiting staff, DHS introduced staff recruitment posters similar to those used during World War II, with the words “America needs you” and “protection of the Motherland” with images of Uncle Sam, US President Donald Trump, Interior Security Minister Christie Nom and other officials.
By Wednesday, the agency said it had received more than 80,000 candidates for 10,000 positions. Speaking of Fox News, NOEM said they had removed age restrictions on how many old candidates they could be.
Currently, ICE has 20,000 officers and staff support throughout the country in 400 offices.
The pursuit of recruitment comes only weeks after Trump signed his law on law.
The bill included more than $ 76 billion allocated to ICE – almost 10 times more than what it received before – and made it the highest funded Federal Law Enforcement Agency.
