President Volodimir Zelenski says Moscow has bombed a boarding school in Ukrainian occupied by Ukrainian, where civilians are sheltering and preparing for evacuation.

The Ukrainian army said four people were killed and dozens of adults were injured in the city of Suja in the Kursk area, which has been under Ukrainian control for five months.

More than 80 people are reported to have been rescued from the building.

The BBC failed to confirm Ukraine’s claim that it was a deliberate Russian attack using a guided air bomb. Moscow has accused Ukraine of bombing.

Zelenski published to X that the incident was exposed to Russia as a “citizenship -free country.”

“This is how Russia is making war – Suja, Kursk region, Russian territory, internal civilian preparing to evacuate,” he writes.

“A Russian air bomb. They destroyed the building, although dozens of civilians were there.”

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has published to Telegram that four people were killed and that 84 civilians were rescued, adding that “the strike was done on purpose”.

For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense said Ukraine had the attack on Saturday, which it described as a purposeful missile strike.

Ukraine began lightning in the Russian region of Kursk last August, surprising the Russian border guards.

The Kiev government has made it clear at the time that he did not intend to hold on the territory, seized, simply use it as a chip to negotiate in future peace talks.

Zelenski likened the strike on Saturday with “How Russia waged a war against Chechnya decades ago. They killed the Syrians the same way. Russian bombs destroy Ukrainian homes in the same way. “
