At least 15 people are reported, including four journalists working for international media, were killed in an Israeli strike at a hospital in the southern strip of Gaza.
Reuters operator and an Associated Press journalist were among those killed during Nasar’s attack. The other two journalists are reported to have worked for Al Jazeera and NBC.
Several people were killed in an initial blow and others for a second that happened when rescuers were present in place, Hamas’s civil defense said.
The Israeli military and the Prime Minister’s cabinet said they had no immediate comments.
Photos from the scene show that gray smoke is curved from the upper level, where there are obvious damage, in what is the main hospital in South Gaza.
Outside, people run and shout against the background of chaos as the horns of the ambulance can be heard.
In one video, as a doctor holds bloody clothes to show journalists, there is another strike.
Reuters news agency said its operator Husama Al Masri was among the killed. The Associated Press said Mariam Daga, a freelance journalist working for the agency, was also killed. It says he is “shocked and saddened” by the death of a 33-year-old youth.
It is alleged that the others were Mohammed Salameh, who works for Al Jazeera, and photographer Muat Abu Taha, hired by the American television network NBC.
Civil defense said 15 people were killed, including one of its members, AFP News Agency reports.
