France stops gas evacuation after Palestinian student accused of anti -Semitic post

France has stopped its program to get Palestinians running away from gas.

The freezing will be in place as the authorities are investigating a Palestinian student in France, who is accused of making anti-Semitic remarks online, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Nol Baro.

The 25-year-old woman was at a scholarship in the city of Lille in northern France and will have to leave the country after her university withdrew her accreditation.

The woman who arrived in France in July had to start attending PO Lille University in the fall.

Since then, she has been her desective, the university said.

French Interior Minister Bruno Deptele has written to X that he has asked the account to be closed, to take legal action. “Hamas’s propagandists have no place in our country,” he added.

The Palestinians who are already in France through this scheme will be “subject to a new check” after “failures that brought this young woman here,” he said.

Retailleau said that the security inspections carried out by the state services and the Israeli authorities did not find these “unacceptable in terms of remarks.”

Po Lille University University confirmed the woman’s comments to AFP and told the news agency that the posts were “in a direct contradiction with the values confirmed” by the institution.

The woman was part of a group evacuated by Gaza as part of a program led by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the director of science Po Lille told the French newspaper Libération.
