Garmin Forerunner 970 Review: A Very Extra Running Watch

It has 15 new sport profiles compared to Faruna 965, including things like backcontry snowboarding, pellets and even some motor sports. The list is not as wider as Fenix 8, though it can track surfing and now acts as a full-dive watch for recreational scuba and fridging. It really feels that the deficiency is simply to distinguish between the pioneer and the phenix line, because a software update can do it.

Fortunately, the map features are broken from Phenics 8 and they are great. It comes with a broad toogographic map installed. Maps are colorful, bright and easy to navigate with pinch and tap. Rounding a new feature round trip with correction (theoretically). If you are in a stranger city you can tell the clock that you want to run 5 miles and it will suggest a loop for you. If you accidentally take a wrong twist or you see a nice thing you want to check out, it will rewrite you to bring you back to your hotel when you hit your target distance (of course, of course) to bring you back to your hotel.

It’s such a great idea, but I can never use it. If I leave the route the whole clock is crushed and I have to give it the strength to the cycle. Hope it can fix Garmin in future software updates (updates come about once a month). On the contrary, I thought the GPS performance was correct, even in the trees, cliffs and tall buildings.

It is worth mentioning that Garmin also launched the new, midrange Agrani 570The It has a short battery life, low-premium materials (gorilla glass 3 vs blue, aluminum bezel vs titanium), 8GB vs 32GB of memory, no built-in mapping and no flashlight. You get the speaker and the mic and there are only 42mm display options instead of 47 mm, which is great for small wrists.

With all that has been said, many of these features are found in Phenics 8 a few the same hardware and better battery life as the mic and speaker. There are some features that are not currently available, such as ongoing tolerance, but they are coming through Update a huge new software That Garmin barely announced.

Fenix 8 is more expensive than 970, but it’s much older. If Fenix 8 is sold, as it is occasionally it is the brain found instead. Agrani 970 is a premium clock with advanced features that will give you a lot of insight and support if you are trying to pro it, but if you are not and you want to surf it occasionally, it may be excessive.
