Google announces new security features for Android for protection against scam and theft

At the Android Show on Tuesday Google I/OGoogle has announced new protection and privacy features for Android. These new features include call, screen sharing, messages, device access and system-level permissions. With these features, Google targets any device stolen or occupied by the attacker and keep their details protected in enhancing device-level protection for various attacks, protecting their details.

Phone scammers often ask users to take steps to tap or download unknown applications on insecure links. To protect users, Google is blocked some action and warns about any possible scandal while calling someone who is not on their contact list.

For Android 16, one of these activities is to side-loaded an app for the first time from other sources that have not been verified by Google and allow access to an application so that a scammer can take control of the device. The company is also obstructing users to run Android 6 or later from disableing Google Play Protek, which scans the device for harmful applications while in a call.

Google is adding the screen to sharing the screen by reminding the users to stop sharing the screen after the Google call is over.

The company is also examining a new alert screen with the UK selected banks to prevent fraud by sharing the screen. When users opened a screen bank app when sharing a screen with an unknown number on Android 11 or later driven devices, the device will display a warning screen with a button to quickly screen.

Message Protection

Theft

To prevent someone from locking your device from afar, the company is adding a security challenge to prevent unauthorized access. With Android 16, if the device is not connected to Wi-Fi and not recently unlocked, the company will also hide one-time passwords.

Extra protection

The company is associating new features with it Protect Google Play Live Identification Program Besides, which identifies insecure applications that have hidden or changed icons. This feature will be available in the coming months for users to run Google Pixel 6+. The company says it is now applying a new set On-Divice Rules To catch more sections of contaminated applications.
