Google is examining the new “ask me” feature that uses AI to call local businesses for information about availability and price. The feature is available for users available on desktop and mobile Search lab Examination.

The idea is to help users access the information without actually picking up the phone without talking to anyone.

To get started, ask me to search for services in nail salons and auto shops.

If you are admitted to the search labs you can access the new feature by searching local services such as “changing oil” or “around nail salon”. Then you will see a “Ask me” option with a “start” button.

Then you are requested to enter the details about that service, such as replacing a “tire,” the factory prescribed maintenance, “” French manicure, “” nail art, “and more. From there, you can enter information about time frames. Google’s AI will then call on local businesses on your behalf and send you a summary of the price and availability.

The launch arrives when Google is looking for ways to help users to save time while contacting the business with the help of AI. Last year, the company has revealed a feature “Talk to Live Reps” It calls you a business by calling a business on your behalf, waiting on the hold and then a live representative is available when it becomes available.

The feature is relieved of the need for users to wait for countless minutes, and sometimes several hours, the customer service is trying to hold the music by trying to connect with the agent.

In case of other search lab features, Google has recently launched “Listen every day,” Which is up to date with personalized news feed is a personalized AI-powered audio experience designed to help you.
