Do you cooperate?
Yes
Okay What is your favorite sandwich?
This is a stiff because I love them all. I will say a New Jersey sub -Sublold from this organization as freehold around Soronto. The 14 number, which is a combination, I believe, like 7 and 12 numbers. [Eds. note: Sorrento’s menu says the Number 14 is a combo of a Number 5 and a Number 12 called the Pig Special.] So an Italian sub from a true New Jersey Institution, and if it doesn’t, then a Wawa club sandwich.
I really appreciate how specific it was. Thank you You ever bought the first video game?
I pirate lots of pirates because I was growing up in Turkey, so it was virtually impossible for us to be like a lot of video games. As far as purchased, it can be Metal gear solid 2 For PlayStation 2, or I guess a Pokémon game.
So let’s rewind for 34 years. You were born in New Jersey. You have spent most of your childhood in Turkey.
Yes
You have talked about that nurturing before. You have identified it as very convenient. How did that experience happen, now you are able to look back and reflect on your world? How does it turn you into that person today?
There is a lot of income discrimination in Turkey, which is now almost similar to America, but in Turkey it is still worse. For that reason, if you are on the top of the board, if you are relatively rich, you are very richer than the average person.
I have never sheltered people from that truth, but I am fairly rich. It was very positive in the sense that I don’t have to think about meeting the end or taking a job or something like that. The main concern of my parents was to ensure that I was not wasted, so I didn’t get what I didn’t get what I wanted.
Beyond that, I would say that as a little boy I was sent to public school in Turkey. I think it’s a good thing that my parents did it because it realized me that there were very different income brackets with people living in very different situations.
You’ve moved to the United States for college, didn’t you? What was the surprise to you about that transformation?
When I came to college, literally what I wanted. The other people were like that, “I want to be an innovator,” “I want to be a teacher,” “I want to be a race driver.” I was, “I want to go to American college.”
So I like it. I was so stocked here, and I had all this belief. You know, this is a country of independence, the land of prosperity, isn’t it?
Okay
This is where I will make a name for myself, create a career for myself.
Gradually, of course, the experience of getting older or going to college and then living in America slowly move away in that dream. Plus into pieces.
Yes
This is interesting because I did it compared to other fresh-off-bot immigrant stories. I live in American dreams, but I just realized that it was not something that is easily accessible to everyone.
