The two most commonly used video streaming apps in India have been integrated in Hotster and Geosinma Geohotter.
Giosa, a joint venture between Vyakam 18 and Star India, owned by Reliance, said Friday that it was integrated into the Rebuilder version of Disney’s Hotster Platform.
Merged app will show Disney, Warner Bros, HBO, NBC Universal and Paramount movies and TV shows and will aim to reach more than 500 million users in the country.
The consolidation followed by Walt Disney’s Indian wealth last year, followed by Reliance’s $ 8.5 billion dollars, which created a joint venture, which controlled about 85% of India’s streaming market and half of the television viewership.

“Entertainment is no more specialty, but a share of the experience for everyone,” said Gosster Digital Chief Executive Kiran Mani. The group says that existing Ziocinema customers will be transferred to the Geohotter when their current subscription expires.
The marker brings India’s most valuable sports rights under a platform such as the Soccer Premier League and the FIFA World Cup, along with the Indian Premier League and the International Cricket Council Tournament.
After the expiry of the subscription of existing customers, the Geosinimer app will come out in phases. Giosinima customers will be able to transition to “seamless” and establish their Geohotter subscription, the company said.
Unification reflects the problems that foreign media faced in India’s price-sensitive markets. Netflix and Amazon Primes have also fought to increase salary subscriptions despite heavy investment in local content.
Geohotters will provide content in 19 languages and produce 30,000 hours of television programming annually. Basic subscription plans start at $ 149 ($ 1.71).
This initiative combines more than 100 television channels and about 300,000 hours entertainment materials.
