Rhea Chakraborty says the roles in Bollywood have dried up after the scandal

Bollywood actress Rem Chakraborti was called “Golden Digger” and “Killer”. She was ashamed and spent 27 days in prison after a hate -filled malicious media campaign in 2020 that she had participated in the death of her actor’s boyfriend Seshant Singh Rajput.

Now federal investigators in India have told a court that Rajput, a rising star in the popular Hindi Hindi industry in India, has died of suicide and that neither chakraborti nor her family played a role in his death.

In a statement shared with the BBC, senior lawyer Satish Maneshinde, who is fighting the Chakrarti case, said the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) “had been investigating every aspect of the case in detail at all angles and closed it.”

The findings are presented in a special court in Mumbai, which will now decide whether to conclude the case or order a further investigation.

Maneshinde said Chakraborti went through “untold miseries” and was closed “without any fault.”

“The false story on social media and the electronic media was completely unsuccessful,” he said, calling on the media bosses to “think about what they did.”

“Innocent people were persecuted and parked before the media and investigating authorities. I hope this is not repeated in any way.”

Meanwhile, feminist lawyer Payal Ceala described the “Mizoginistic story about Chakraboi” as “deeply anxious” and said the case “should serve as a warning reminder of the dangers of being convicted.”

The Chakraborti itself did not offer a comment, as news about CBI that wanted to close the case broke over the weekend. On Monday, she was seen visiting a temple with her brother and father – who were also listed in a police complaint filed for Rajput’s death.

Perhaps the only sign that the family feels avenged comes from her brother Showik – who spent three months in prison before being released on bail. He shared a Photo With Rhea and the inscription “Satyamev Jayate” – Sanskrit for “Only the Truth prevails”.

Actor Seshant Sing Rajput was found dead in his home in Mumbai in June 2020.

Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. Police in Mumbai said the 34-year-old had had problems with mental health for which he was under treatment and seemed to have taken his life.

Chakraborti, who had been dating Rajput for a year and lived with him, had gone to live with his parents a few days before his death.

“I still struggle to face my emotions … irreparable numbness in my heart … I will never put up with you that you are no longer here,” he wrote later on social media about her grief.

But within weeks, the actress found herself in the center of a fiery storm after Rajput’s father filed a complaint with the police, accusing Chakraborti that he had stolen his son’s money and contributed to his suicide. He also denied that his son had some mental health problems.

The Rajput family has not commented on the most developed developments in terms of his death.

Chakraborti, who consistently denies all the accusations against her, appeals to the government to order a fair survey of death.

However, the tragedy – which came to the height of blocking, while India fought with the coronavirus pandemic – became the biggest story of a first time for a nation glued to their television kits.

And Chakraborti became the subject of misogynistic abuse, with the trolls calling it “witch”, “hunter of wealth”, “Mafia mall” and “sex bait to capture rich men.” She received threats to rape and death.

Some of the highest-ranking television hosts in India have devoted to all their broadcasts to the discussion of the case, describing her as a “manipulative” woman who “performed black magic” and “drove a suicide to suicide.”

A video, which became viral at the time, showed a prominent news presenter hysterically gesture and accusing Chakraborti of being a “drug”. Another channel was a female anchor walking on the live set, claiming that there were “documents” that could prove the guilt of the actress.

The vicious hatred campaign continued until Chakraborti was arrested three months after Rajput’s death.

Chakraborty was questioned by the Police and Financial Crime Agency

She was released a month later, and since then she has been trying to speak in motivational speaking and is now rediscovering as a businesswoman who launches a clothing line and her own podcast with celebrity interviews. She also makes reality TV show.

Chakraborty also talks about her ordeal, including how the summons of the name and the murder of characters cost her job and how her family is also persecuted.

“I tried to contact the people in the industry (the Hindi movies), asking for roles, some roles. But then I realized that people would not throw you because of everything that happened,” she told the Bombay People last year.

“I was very angry for a long time. But it gave me acidity and suffered from bowel problems. So it became important for me to forgive,” she said, adding “I didn’t forgive all. Some people are on my hits list.

It is unclear what actions I consider against those who have defiled her, but many of them now suggest in social media that she is judging them for damage.

Until neither the actress nor her lawyer has yet said what they intend to do, the colostine won Bhandare indicates that the demand for compensation in India, with his overloaded judicial system and millions of pending court cases, is anything but easy.

“The slander case can continue for a decade, and it will eventually apologize at the end. So would you even bother to do it?”

According to G -ja Bhandare, Chakraborty “spent the pursuit of a juicy story” as it “is not a big name and there are no powerful people who support it in the film industry.”

What happened, the columnist continued, “was in line with traditional Indian thinking” to accuse that the female partner left behind, and also emphasized “the dark side of social media, which tends to find a villain and then rely to demolish their reputation.”

Some of the videos of prominent news anchors that make slander comments against Chakraborty have now reappeared and are widely shared on social media. Many people, including some of the actress’s Bollywood colleagues, require the presenters to apologize to her.

“You went to hunting witches. You caused deep grief and harassment only for TRP (an indicator used to measure the advertising range). Excuse me. This is the least you can do,” said the Bollywood Dia Mirza actress on Instagram.

Journalist Rohini Singh pointed to specific television channels and asked if they would apologize at chakraborti.

“If they have any shame, all parts of human decency, they must issue an exalting excuse for killing her, telling outrageous lies, receiving prison only because they were determined to run the agenda,” she published At X.

The question was also raised in parliament on Tuesday. Journalist-MP Sagarika Ghosh called into question that the murder of Chakraborti characters was subjected to.

“News Channels conducted motivated campaigns against her. Today she turned out to be innocent. But who will return those years when she withstand such humiliation in the hand of the media?” she asked.
