To properly make a gridol seasoning, and keep it ripe, to protect your flat-top from rust-and get a smooth surface that will both transfer the heat even more equally and protect the food from sticking.

Heating of unsaturated fat in the seasoning process, often high-heat oils such as grape-seed oil or canola oil, carbon steel or cast iron is on top of the pelvic metal. Once you reach the smoke point of each oil (more later), the liquid fat polymeries turns into a solid, nonstick surface that chemically ties to the metal surface and fills in its holes.

It protects metal from oxidizing, which is good: this is rust. It makes the surface of your grid smooth and more hydrophobic, which means it resists the water. This means that the food is less likely to be stuck. All these things cook what you want. But to get this effect you need a weafer-thin, even coating … not a lot of oil adhesive buildup. What to do here

First, clean your grild with soap (probably)

Check your user’s manual before any initial cleaning. Weber slate is predicted with food-grade oils, such as weber slate rust resistant grids and already have a layer of seasoning. This does not mean that you don’t have to do it again – but that does not mean that you should not clean and start seasoning.

However, most gridols are ripe with shipping oil which it protects it to you, but which you certainly don’t want to keep. As the first step, you need to scrub your grill with soap and water.

Note that each of the grilled manufacturer does not use soap and water to clean your grilltop on almost every guide on an ongoing basis: It is the first, last and only time you will probably use soap. But do so this time.

I tend to do grace Don Powerwash Spray ($ 5) And a sponge for it, does not make a bucket around with a bucket.
