Huawei announces new AI infrastructure as Nvidia gets locked out of China

Tech Giant Huawei has unveiled the new AI infrastructure which means to help enhance the counting power and allow the agency to compete better with rival Chipmeaker Nvidia.

In the keynote of the Huawei Connect Conference On Thursday, China-based Huawei Shenzhen announced the new superpod inter-connection technology that could connect Huawei’s climb AI Chips to increase the calculation strength together with 15,000 graphics cards.

This technology seems to be competitors to NVEDIA Nvlink Infrastructure, which is for the convenience of high-speed communication between AI chips.

This national technology is important for Huawei to better compete with semiconductor like NVDia. Although Huawei’s AI chips are less powerful than Nvidia, they are able to cluster them together will give their users more access to computers, which are necessary for training and scaling of AI systems.

This news also comes just one day later China has banned domestic technology companies From purchasing NVidia hardware, NVIDIA RTX Pro is designed for the 600D server, especially for the Chinese market.
