Police have issued a ban, in accordance with a new Law on Child Protection, which restricts gatherings considered to promote homosexuality.
The day before the pride, Danban decreased the possibility of violent clashes between the police and the participants – but warned those who go to face the possible legal consequences.
“Of course, police can break such events because they have the power to do so, but Hungary is a civilized state, civil society. We are not hurting each other,” Orban told State Radio on Friday.
“There will be legal consequences, but it cannot reach the level of physical violence.”
Participants risk a fine of up to 500 euros (427 pounds; $ 586), with police being empowered to use the technology to recognize persons to identify them.
The organizers may encounter a one -year sentence.

On Friday, Lahbib posted a photo showing that he was standing with the liberal mayor of Budapest Gergeli Karachsoni in front of a flag of the arc, symbolizing the rights of gays.
The march of pride “will be a powerful symbol of the power of civil society,” she wrote to X.
Prior to pride, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asked the Orban government not to block the hike.
