A rocket launched from Yemen landed near Ben Gurion’s main terminal on Sunday morning, Israeli authorities said.
Untalized footage, published online, appeared to show the drivers on the road nearby, withdrawn to conceal themselves as land with a projectile, creating a black smoke helmet near the airport, which is on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
Four people were injured due to the explosion, with two other wounded on the way to a shelter, Israeli media reported, citing emergency services.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement, “Anyone who hit us will hit them seven times more strong.”
Huti Yahya Sari military spokesman said in a television statement that Israeli airport “is no longer safe for airplanes.”
The airport has already reopened for flights after temporarily stopped them.
As the rocket approaches, sirens are activated in several parts of the country. The Israeli Air Force said they were investigating the failure to cross him.
Shots shared by the local media showed a large crater in the ground at the point of impact.
Hutis, supported by Iran rebels based in Yemen, regularly begins missile attacks in Israel in solidarity with Hamas in Gaza, but it is rare for a person to do so through Israel’s air protection.
Since November 2023, Hutiis has also been attacking ships in the Red Sea, to which the United States has responded, leading the bombing campaign against the group – to which the United Kingdom has assistedS
