Donald Trump said he was disappointed, but was not made with Vladimir Putin, in an exclusive telephone conversation with the BBC.

The US president was pressed whether he was trusting the Russian leader and replied, “I believe almost to anyone.”

Trump spoke hours after he announced plans to send a weapon to Ukraine And he warned of heavy tariffs for Russia if there was no transaction to terminate the fire for 50 days.

In an interview with the Oval Cabinet, the president also approved NATO, once defined it as an outdated and confirmed his support for the general principle of defense of the organization.

The president made a telephone conversation, which lasted 20 minutes until the BBC after talks about a potential interview to mark a year after the attempt at his life rally in the Butler campaign, Pennsylvania.

Asked if the survival of the murder attempt changed him, Trump said he liked to think about it as much as possible.

Pressed how Trump will make Putin “stop the bloodshed”, the US president said, “We are working in this, Gary.”

“We will have a great conversation. I will say,” This is good, I will think we are close to doing it “and then he will knock down a building in Kiev.”

Russia has strengthened its drones and rocket attacks against Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, causing record civil civilians. He started a full -scale invasion of his neighbor in 2022.

Putin insisted that he also wanted peace, but said what he called “the root causes of the war” must be decided first. He claims that the war is the result of external threats to Russia’s security from Kiev, NATO and the “collective West”.

He said he still believes in collective defense, because it means that the smaller countries can be protected against larger countries.

Trump said that the leaders of countries, including Germany, France and Spain, came to respect him and his decision -making, partly because world leaders believed that there was a “very talent” to be elected in the presidency twice.

Asked if world leaders are sometimes “obvious in their flattery,” Trump replied that he was feeling that they were just trying to be nice.

President Trump was also asked about the future of the United Kingdom in the world and said he thought it was “a great place – you know I own property there.”

On the issue of Brexit, he said he was “by the sloping side, but I think he was standing up”.

The president also told Sir Kiir Starmer: “I really like the premiere a lot, although he is a liberal” and praised the trade deal in the UK and the United States. He said he had a “special connection” with the United Kingdom and therefore made a transaction with the country – “for my bigger part with regard to your competitors and in relation to the European Union I have not concluded a deal.”

As to what he wanted to achieve during the visit, Trump said, “Have a nice time and respect King Charles because he is a great gentleman.”
