With the set of 1-1 and the game 15-15, the ball was sued by Aumpir Mohammed Lahiani that he bounced twice before Draper reached a shot.

This was obviously a wrong call from the official, but players already benefit from using video technology in Indian Wales to question double bounce solutions.

After Draper instantly demanded a replay, his challenge was successful and allowed Lahiani to annul the original decision.

He received the point for the lead of 15-30 and with inertia back in his favor provided a break, which ultimately proved the difference.

A grateful Draper said that video reviews – which are not available to any ATP event – are “really good for tennis”, although Alkaraz insisted that he was not “affected” by the incident.

However, its level decreased after this point, as its application to win Indian Wales for the third year when running was over.

Left -off Draper continues to face Holger Rune at Denmark at the final of Sunday at the Masters 1000 event in California.

The rune, ranked 13th, reached the fourth Masters final of his career with a 7-5 6-4 victory over Russian Fifth Semen Danil Medvedev.
