Semiconductor Giant Intel Corporation has already received $ 2.2 billion in federal grants from the US Commerce Department through the US Chips and Science Act, shared by the company while calling for earnings on Thursday.
Executive Vice President and CFO Co-Intername CEO Dave Jinsner says the Silicon Valley-based company has earned $ 1.5 billion for federal grant at the end of 2021 and an additional $ 1.5 billion in January 2021.
Jeansner added, these grants are based on reaching certain milestones. Another $ 5.66 billion dollar has not been dispersed.

Jeansner, though, had a Rosia aspect. When asked by an analyst, he said that Intel had already contacted the Trump administration and “really good” about the administration’s view of the semiconductor production back to the United States.
“We are expected to continue with the Trump administration as they take this work forward and support their efforts to strengthen US technology and production leadership,” Jeansner said earlier in this call.
