Apple released its first developer beta for iOS 18.4 on Friday, which adds a new “priority notification” feature powered by Apple Intelligence. The goal of the addition is to help users to handle their notifications by giving priority to users’ important warnings and reduce the disruption from less important issues.
These priority notifications appear in separate categories on the lock screen of the phone. Apple will analyze the intelligence which notifications believe that it will appear in this category, but you can still swipe all your notifications.
Currently, the iPhone will appear at the top of the most recent warnings, chronologically notifications. With the new feature, you will first see important notes – even when you get them a while ago when comparing others.
Accordingly 9to5MacPriority notifications are closed by default, you can enable the feature by opening the title “Notifications” option and then “Priority Day” section. Here, you can toggle the feature.
