Israel believes that Iran could potentially extract an enriched uranium buried under one of the three facilities hit by US forces last month, according to a senior employee of Israeli.
Speaking with US reporters, the employee said that reaching an enriched uranium in Isfahan would be extremely difficult and any attempt would encourage the renewed Israeli strikes.
Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that in June in June, US air and Iran rockets “delete” the country’s nuclear facilities, even when some US intelligence agencies have adopted a more pre -preheatory opinion.
Iran denies to strive to develop nuclear weapons and says that his enrichment as Uranus is for peaceful purposes.
At a briefing for reporters in Washington, the senior Israeli official – who refused to be baptized – said intelligence shows that much of an enriched uranium in Iran was buried in Isfahan, which was hit by underwater cruise missiles during Midnight Hammer Operation on June 22nd.
However, the employee did not express concern about the assessment, noting that some Iranian attempt to restore the material was likely to be found.
According to the employee, Israel’s assessment is that Iran’s nuclear program was set for two years.
Trump and members of his administration are adamant that Iranian nuclear facilities have been completely destroyed.
“As President Trump said many times, the Midnight Hammer operation completely deleted Iran’s nuclear facilities,” White House spokesman Anna Kelly said in a statement sent to US media. “The whole world is more favored thanks to its determined leadership.”
The BBC contacted the White House for further comment.
US intelligence assessments were more precautions, with a preliminary defense reporter concluding that while all three sites – in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan – were badly damaged, they were not completely destroyed.
At the end of June, CIA Director John Ratcliffe told us the deputies that the destruction of Iran’s only metal uranium facility had effectively deprived Iran’s ability to build a nuclear weapon.
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi told CBS, the US partner of the BBC that while the three directed Iranian sites were “destroyed to an important degree”, the parts still stand. “
“Honestly, it cannot be argued that everything is gone and there is nothing there,” said G -H Grossi.
In an interview with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, published earlier this week, Iranian President Mahmoud Pesshki said the facilities were “seriously damaged”.
“Therefore, we do not have access to them,” he said, adding that full assessment is impossible for now.
