EPA-EFE/ShutterstockIran said he would not resume his conversations on his nuclear program while being attacked, hours after Israeli Minister of Defense warned of a “prolonged” conflict against the Islamic Republic.
The exchanges of violence continued on Friday as Iran fired another advocate of rockets in North Israel and Israel pointed dozens of sites in Iran.
The Israeli Foreign Minister, Aal Zamir, said in a video that his country should be ready for “ready for a long campaign” and warned of “difficult days ahead”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi met with European diplomats in Geneva, who called on him to revive diplomatic efforts with the United States for Tehran’s nuclear program.
But Aragchi said Iran is ready to consider diplomacy only after “Israel’s aggression has been stopped.”
He continued to say that Iran’s nuclear program was peaceful and that Israel’s attacks on it were a violation of international law, adding that Iran would continue to “exercise its legal right to self -defense.”
“I clarify crystal that Iran’s defense capabilities cannot be negotiated,” he said.
Israel’s ambassador to the UN has accused Iran of having a “genocidal program” and poses a constant threat, adding that Israel will not stop heading to nuclear facilities until they are “dismantled”.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said on Friday that Iran had a “maximum” two weeks to avoid possible air strikes in the United States, suggesting that it could make a decision before the 14-day period it set on Thursday.
“I give them a period of time and I would say that two weeks will be as much as possible,” Trump told reporters.
He added that the goal is to “see if people feel or not.”
The US President also rejects negotiations between Aragchi and Foreign Ministers from the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the EU.
“Iran doesn’t want to talk to Europe. They want to talk to us. Europe will not be able to help it,” Trump said.
The United Kingdom Foreign Minister David Lamie said the United States had provided a “short period of time” to resolve the crisis in the Middle East, which he said was “dangerous and deadly serious”.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Baro said that “we have invited the Iranian minister to examine negotiations with all countries, including the United States, without expecting the termination of strikes we also hope.”
Barot added that “it could not be a final solution through military funds on Iran’s nuclear problem” and warned that it was “dangerous to seek to change the regime” in Iran.
As the negotiations were held in Geneva, the exchange of fire between Israel and Iran continued.
Israel was struck by a new circle of Iranian strikes, with Israeli military reporting an attack on 20 rockets aimed at Haifa.
One of the Israeli woman died of a heart attack, which led to the Israeli sum as the conflict began to 25 years.
The Israeli Defense Forces said they had attacked ballistic storage and launch launches in Western Iran.
In the last week, Israeli air strikes have destroyed the Iranian military facilities and weapons and killed senior military commanders and nuclear scientists.
The Iranian Health Ministry said on Sunday that at least 224 people had been killed, but a human rights group put the unofficial death rate of death on 639 on Thursday.
Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles in Israel in response to air strikes.
