Israel says he killed a senior Iranian commander who helped plan the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023 against South Israel, on a strike on Saturday in QOM.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the murder of Said Isadi has noted a key moment in the conflict. He was the “one of the orchestrators” of the attack, which killed about 1,200 people and saw many others taken to gas as hostages, said IDF Eyal Zamir chief.

“The blood of thousands of Israelis is on his hands,” he said on Saturday, calling him “tremendous intelligence and operational achievements.”

Iran is yet to confirm the murder of Isadi and has previously denied participation in the Hamas attack.

IDF said he had killed Isadi at an apartment strike in Qom, south of Tehran, in the early hours of Saturday. He runs the Palestinian Corps of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds forces responsible for processing ties with the Palestinian armed groups.

He has been reported to play an important role in Hamas’ arms and funding and has been responsible for military coordination between IRGC senior commanders and Hamas leaders, IDF said.

In April 2024, Isadi closely survived an Israeli air strike aimed at the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, Syria, an attack that killed several high -ranking Quard commanders.

Later, Israel on Saturday also claims to have killed another Quds forces commander, Beham Shahrii when he was hitting a drone while traveling in a car through West Iran.

Shahrii was responsible for transporting missiles and missiles to Iran’s proxy groups throughout the region, including Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, IDF said.

If Israeli claims are confirmed, the killings of Isadi and Shahriars are a major blow to IRGC.

The attacks come when the conflict between the two countries entered his ninth day, with both new attacks on Saturday.

Iran said Israel headed to a nuclear facility near the town of Isfahan. Israel said it was aimed at military infrastructure in southwestern Iran and reported at least one impact from Iranian drones that entered its airspace.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araragchi, in the meantime, told reporters in Istanbul that any US involvement in the conflict will be “very dangerous”. On Friday, he told the European envoys in Geneva on Friday that Iran would not resume his conversations on the nuclear program until Israel’s strikes stopped.

Donald Trump has suggested US involvement in Israel’s strikes in Iran, saying that Tehran has a “maximum” two weeks to avoid possible US air strikes if they have not negotiated their nuclear program.

Iranian officials claim that at least 430 people, including military commanders, were killed and 3,500 injured in Iran as the conflict began on June 13. The human rights group tracking Iran, the Human Rights News Agency, put the unofficial death rate of death on 657 on Friday.

In Israel, employees say 25 people were killed, including one of a heart attack.
