Israeli military says they have warned medical officers and international organizations to prepare for the planned evacuation of one million residents of Gaza before the offensive to occupy it.

Officials have been said that “corrections” are being made at hospitals in South Gaza to receive patients, a message said.

Hamas Health Ministry from Gaza has rejected “every step that will undermine what remains from the healthcare system.” UN groups and assistance also vowed to stay to help those who cannot or choose not to move.

In the meantime, the Palestinians said there were heavy bombing in the eastern regions of the city, the day after the military said they had taken the first steps in the offensive.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets Thursday’s security officers to approve plans to take over the military, despite the widespread international and domestic opposition.

He announced the intention of Israel to conquer the entire Gaza lane after the indirect conversations with Hamas for the end of the fire and the deal to release hostages broke up last month.

The Israeli military plans to evacuate the entire population of Gaza and move it to shelters to the south before the troops move to the largest urban area of the territory.

As part of her preparation, she said, officers from the military body COGAT made “initial warning calls” by medical officers and international organizations on Tuesday.

“Employees have stressed to medical staff that adjustments to the hospital infrastructure are being made in the southern part of the strip to receive the sick and the wounded, together with the increased entry of the necessary medical equipment,” a statement said.

He quotes the employees that he tells them in the calls: “We will give you a place to be, whether it is a field hospital or other hospital.”

However, the Gaza Health Ministry expressed its “rejection of every step, which will undermine what remains from the healthcare system after the systematic destruction carried out by the occupation (Israeli) authorities.”

“This step would deprive more than one million people of its right to medical treatment and expose the lives of residents, patients and injured to immediate danger,” she warned.

Eighteen of the 36 Gaza hospitals are currently partially functional, according to the UN. Eleven of them are located in the city inspection of Gaza, and one is in the northern Gaza.

The UN and non-governmental organizations have warned earlier this week that the Israeli offensive in Gaza will have “a terrifying humanitarian impact.”

“We are repeating our commitment to serving people wherever they are, and we remain present in Gaza to provide rescue support,” they said.

They also warned that hospitals south “work several times their capacity, and the absorption of patients from the north will have life -threatening consequences.”

Motasem Dalloul, a journalist in Gaza, told the BBC that he had seen and heard numerous Israeli air strikes there on Thursday.

“From time to time, there are fighter jets that are attacking homes and other facilities, mainly in the east side of Gaza, in the Zeitun neighborhood and the Sabra neighborhood,” he said.

The Hamas Civil Protection Agency said at least 48 people had been killed by Israeli strikes and fire in Gaza on Thursday, including eight in Sabra.

Dalul also said that “a large number” Israeli drones fly on top.

Some have broadcast messages to the residents, telling them to be evacuated in “safe zones” in southern Gaza, he said. But he argues that such areas are safe, saying that people are killed “in every corner” to the south.

“Many people intend not to move from the city,” he said. “They believe that if we are to be killed, let us be killed in our homes.”

Hundreds of people have also joined a rally in Gaza to demand the end of the war and reject Israel’s plan for a further displacement.

“We are exhausted. We die thousands of times a day. We don’t want to leave, we want to stay here,” Bisan Gazal told the BBC. “Stop the bloodshed. That’s enough.”

Ummm Abdul Rahman Hajaj said he wanted to tell Hamas’s negotiators to count the fire: “What we want is an immediate end to the war -because the longer it goes on, the greater the number of martyrs, wounded and prisoners.”

In Tel Aviv, the relatives of the Israeli hostage still held by Hamas called on their government to accept a proposed deal to end the fire to return some of their loved ones.

“There is a deal on the table. This is the opening we need for a complete deal. We have to sign it right away,” said Dalia Kusnir, the daughter -in -law of hostage Eitan Horn, and released the former hostage to Iair Horn.

“Time is running out. Hostages cannot survive much longer in the hand of these brutal captives. We cannot support more battles.”

Mediators Qatar and Egypt are trying to provide a deal to prevent the offensive and have presented a new proposal for a 60-day truce and the release of about half of the 50 hostages, which Hamas said he accepted on Monday.

Israel has not yet submitted an official answer, but Israeli officials said they would no longer accept a partial deal and wanted to publish all hostages in its entirety. It is believed that only 20 of them are still alive.

UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres said it was “vital” to achieve an immediate ceasefire and to avoid what he called “the inevitable death and destruction”, which will cause a new operation in Gaza.

On Wednesday, an Israeli military spokesman said that the “preliminary actions” of the Gaza offensive began and that the troops were already “holding the outskirts”.

Netanyahu’s service said “has directed that schedules – to control the control of the last terrorist fortresses and the defeat of Hamas – to be shortened.”

Hamas accused the Israeli leader of continuing a “brutal war against innocent civilians in the city of Gaza” and criticized what he said was his “disregard” for the proposal to end fire.

The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to an attack led by Hamas against southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were hostage.

Since then, at least 62,192 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in the territory. The ministry’s numbers are cited by the UN and others as the most reliable source of statistics available to the victims.
