ReutersIsrael has decided to send a delegation to Qatar on Sunday for negotiations for closeness to Hamas on the latest proposal for a fire termination transaction and hostage to the gas.
The service of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had accepted the invitation, though he described as “unacceptable” changes that Hamas wanted to make a plan presented by mediators from Qatar, the United States and Egypt.
On Friday night, Hamas said he had given a “positive answer” to the proposal for a 60-day termination of fire and that he was ready for negotiations.
However, a Palestinian officer said the group sought changes, including a guarantee that hostilities would not resume if the conversations for a permanent truce fail.
In the gas, the Hamas Civil Protection Agency said, said Israeli strikes and firing killed at least 35 Palestinians on Saturday.
Seven people were killed, including a doctor, all three children, when tents in the Al Mavasi area were bombed, according to a hospital in the nearby town of Han Einnis.
Meanwhile, two US staff of the controversial help organization supported by Israel and the US – Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) – were injured in what was said to be an attack on a grenade In his place in the area of Khan ENNIS.
Israeli and US governments have accused Hamas, who did not comment.
Late on Saturday, in the statement of the Israeli prime minister, he said “the changes that Hamas seeks to make” the proposal to end the fire were “unacceptable to Israel.”
But she added: “In the light of evaluating the situation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the invitation to accept the negotiations on closeness and contacts for the return of our hostages – based on the proposal of Qatari, for which Israel agreed – to continue.
Earlier, an Israeli employee informed the local media that there was “something to work” the way Hamas answered.
Mediators are likely to be interrupted to overcome other gaps in the indirect conversations in Doha.
Looking at them will be President Trump, who has been talking about the chances of an agreement in recent days.
On Friday, before being informed of Hamas’s response, he said it was “good” that the group was positive and “may have a gas deal next week.”
Trump should meet with Netanyahu on Monday and it is clear that he would very much like to be able to announce a significant breakthrough then.
The families of Israeli hostage and Palestinians in Gaza will also hold their breath again.
The relatives of the hostages and thousands of their supporters attended a rally in Tel Aviv on Saturday night to summon a comprehensive deal to bring all hostages home.
Among those who spoke was Jechil Yehud. His daughter, Arbel Yoved, was released from captivity during the last ceasefire that Trump helped for the broker before taking office and who collapsed when Israel resumed his offensive in March.
“President Trump, thank you for bringing us back Arbel. We will oblige you for the rest of your life. Please don’t stop, please make a” big beautiful deal with hostages, “he said.
ReutersOn Tuesday, the US President said Israel has accepted the “necessary conditions” for a 60-day termination of fire, during which parties will work to end the war.
The plan is thought to include the gradual release of 10 living Israeli hostages from Hamas and the bodies of 18 other hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
Fifty hostages are still held in Gaza, at least 20 of which are thought to be alive.
It is also reported that the proposal says that enough aid will be entered immediately to the gas with the participation of the UN and the International Red Cross Committee.
A senior Palestinian employee familiar with the conversations told the BBC on Friday that Hamas wants to be distributed exclusively by the UN and his partners and that GHF operations end immediately.
Another change required by Hamas was the withdrawal of Israeli troops, according to the employee.
The US proposal is thought to include stages of Israeli pull out of parts of gas. But the official stated that Hamas wanted troops to return to the positions they occupy before the last ceasefire would collapse in March when Israel resumed his offensive.
The employee said Hamas also wanted an American guarantee that Israeli air and ground operations would not resume, even if the cessation of the fire ended without a constant truce.
The proposal is thought to be said that mediators will guarantee that serious negotiations will be held from the first day and that they can prolong the termination of fire, if necessary.
The Israeli Prime Minister excluded the end of the war until all the hostages were released and the military and the ruling capabilities of Hamas were not destroyed.
The end right members of his cabinet also expressed their opposition to the proposed deal.
National Security Minister Itar Ben-Gvir said on Saturday that the only way to secure the hostages is “the full conquest of the Gaza Strip, the complete suspension of the so-called” humanitarian “assistance and the promotion of emigration” of the Palestinian population.
The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were hostage.
Since then, at least 57 338 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in the territory.
