Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his military has “eliminated” Gaza boss Gaza Mohammed Sinuar, one of his most sought after men and brother of the late leader of the group Yaja Sinuar.

Mohammed Sinvar was the target of a large Israeli strike in the courtyard and the surrounding area of the European Hospital in the southern town of Khan Enisis on May 13, which the Israeli military said he was destroying Hamas’s “underground infrastructure” there.

The Hamas Civil Protection Agency in Gaza said 28 people were killed. Hamas himself neither confirmed nor denied the death of Sinur.

Yahya Sinwar, the head of the attack on October 7, 2023 against Israel, was killed by Israeli troops last October.

Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas’s cross -border attack 600 days ago, killing about 1,200 people and 251 others were taken hostage.

At least 54 084 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the health ministry in the territory.
