Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket takes off

Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin has successfully launched a rocket into orbit for the first time.

The New Glenn reusable rocket was originally scheduled to lift off earlier this week, but was delayed due to a “vehicle subsystem problem.”

The mission was partially successful after the booster that propelled the rocket into space failed to land on a platform in the ocean.

However, it’s still a huge step forward for Jeff Bezos and his company, who have spent years getting to the point of sending a rocket into orbit.
