Michael Hit: It’s pretty good Katie
Katie Drummond: My recommendation is very specific and very strange. It is known as a 2003 movie What a girl wantsStarring Amanda Bennes and Colin Fort.
Michael Hit: Wow!
Katie Drummond: I saw this movie in high school where I am cheating on my math exam. Sorry for some reason, the memory of my cheating on my high school math test makes me laugh and then I have seen it again with my daughter this weekend, and it’s so bad and so ridiculous and so fabulous. Colin Farth is a babe. Amanda Bias is amazing, and I wish him the best. And it’s a very fun, fool movie if you just want to disconnect your brain and want to know about the story of a 17 -year -old girl who never knows to meet Dad in the UK.
Michael Hit: Wow!
Lauren Good: Wow!
Katie Drummond: Thank you It’s really good.
Lauren Good: I can’t decide whether you say it well or whether it is terrible.
Katie Drummond: It’s both Do you know what I mean?
Lauren Good: This is some combination of both.
Katie Drummond: It’s very bad. He fell in love with a bad boy with a motorcycle but the gold heart that he could also sing in the UK Parliament, so he just looks around all the time. Her hair has to be cut. Remember 2003? All the boys had jail, slick hair.
Lauren Good: Yes, I still remember it. In the early 2000s, cinema, boy, wasn’t their age good?
Katie Drummond: Although it is as old as a fine wine.
Michael Hit: It’s great
Katie Drummond: It’s great
Lauren Good: It’s great
Katie Drummond: Mike, what do you recommend?
Lauren Good: Yes
Michael Hit: Can I go exactly the opposite?
Katie Drummond: Someone please. Yes
Michael Hit: I’m going to go to the literary.
Katie Drummond: Okay
Michael Hit: And I’m going to offer a novel recently that I have read recently that it has taken me to my original. This is by Elena Ferrant, and it is called Immersion dayThe It is a novel in Italian, which has been translated into English and many more languages, the great pseudonym November, in Elena Ferrant. And it is about a woman who wakes up one day and finds out that her husband is leaving her and she doesn’t know why and she doesn’t know where she is going or who is going with her, but she just disappears from her life and she goes through it. He accidentally locked himself in his apartment. He has two children that he is now trying to take care of it suddenly, but somehow is neglecting because he-
Katie Drummond: It’s terrible.
Michael Hit: However, the way it is written is really good. This is really heavy book. It is fairly, it is really subject-based, but the text is just incredible, and it is not a long book, so you don’t have to sit with him for a long time. I will not spoil anything, but I would say that there are some resolutions in it. This is not a direct trip to hell. This is one, in fact, just beautiful observation of how people process mourning and how people deal with the crisis and I really like it.
