Wemo signed an agreement with the ride-helling company Lift to launch a Robotaxi service in Nashville in 2026.

The company said on Wednesday that they would launch the expedition to the all-vest and autonomous Jaguar I-Pace vehicle in the Nashville region in the next month and opened the service for the public next year.

Wiimo Robotaxi ramps the expansion from Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles and San Francisco from its initial commercial market on Wednesday. The alphabet -owned company has previously announced plans to bring Robotaxis to Miami, Washington DCDallas, and Denver.

The agreement also depicts WiMO’s only operator and the autonomous vehicle technology also depicts the desire to be a provider. Earlier this year, Wemo launched a robotuxi service with Uber in Atlanta and Austin. Under this system is responsible for the Weemo Vehicle Examination, roadside assistance and some aspects of the rider assistance, while Uber MOV Cars operates fleet service such as cleaning, maintenance, inspection, charging and depot operations.

Wemo’s arrangement with Nashville’s lift is the same. The lift will also operate flexdrive with its full -owned assistant agency FlexDrive, such as preparing and maintenance, infrastructure and depot operations. LAFT says it is investing in a purposeful AV facility to support the fleet.

There is a key difference in Nashville’s Weemo-Loft partnership from Uber with Uber at Atlanta and Austin. Nashville, Robotaxi customers will be able to access Robotaxis in two ways. Users will first travel directly through the WiMo app. After the service is expanded, the Wemo will send its autonomous vehicles for rides matching in the elevator app.

It’s not like partnership with Uber with Uber at Atlanta and Austin. In these cities, all potential customers have to use the Uber app in the hope of matching a robot, not a human driver.
