Police in Mexico have detained a man known by the nickname of the M-47, who suspects that they are killing the murder of Grupo Fugitivo group members.
The bodies of four musicians from the band and their manager were discovered Thursday in Tamaulipas, four days after the men were reported to be missing.
Their relatives have announced that they are receiving demands for ransom in the days after the disappearance of men.
While ransom abductions are not uncommon in the violent enchanted Tamaulipas, the way in which the group members were obviously lured to an abandoned account by their abductors with the promise of a private party concert and then killed the locals who kept rallies demanding their release.
Police said they were arrested by the M-47 during attacks by three properties in which they also seized drugs, weapons, money and suspicious vehicles and detained two other suspects.
Federal officials said they suspect that the M-47 is one of the bosses of a gang known as “Metro”, which is part of the cartel in the Persian Gulf.
The Cartel in the Persian Gulf has its fortress in the state of Tamaulipas and participates in the smuggling of drugs and migrants across the border between the US and Mexico, as well as the abduction of ransom.
It is not clear why Grupo Fugitivo members were directed.
The singer survived because he was late at night – he told the local media that his group had been hired to appear at a private party and give an address.
The singer said that when he made his way to the place where they were given to meet his fellow musicians, he found the address for free draw and there were no signs of the group members or their SUVs.
The all -terrain vehicle was found abandoned three days later a few kilometers. The trailer with their tools and sound equipment was also found discarded nearby.
Investigators believe the five were taken from their abductors to a property where they were killed.
Grupo Fugitivo were known for playing Norteña Music, a genre characterized by catchy texts, often dusted by a regiment -inspired rhythm – which was directed by criminal bands.
Some groups rely on incomes at the beginning of their careers from hired to play private parties, many of whom host people participating in or with cartels.
They sometimes make up songs that praise the masters of drugs, and in the past there have been times when singers of such songs known as “corridors” have been threatened and even killed by rival bands.
A total of 12 suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of members of group joints so far.
