Microsoft says it will no longer use engineers in China for Department of Defense work

Follow Report of a Pro Public Microsoft was using engineers in China to help maintain the cloud computing system for the US Defense Department, the company said it had changed to ensure that it would not happen anymore.

The existing system to oversee China -based engineers is reported to have relying on “Digital escort”. However, according to Pro Publika, these escorts – US citizens with security exemptions – sometimes lacking technical skills to properly monitor engineers.
