New $5M deep tech fund aims to lure founders from universities

Spend time at a university and inevitably you will see someone who plans to save the world, or at least some small part of it will make it better. It can only be the optimism of youth but sometimes they are actually above anything.

Critical Ventures Partners have bet that young founders have renewed universities can solve a number of complex problems in the world, including climate change, health care and economic facilities. The firm was established by a trio of recent graduates from the University of Pennsylvania.

“We will invest in the type of organization that we will invest, invest in other youths,” the co-founder and general partners of the Critical Venture Partners, Sam Strickberger Techchen, “TechCrunch told Techcunch.

“We are truly inspired by the history of the young founder’s construction,” Strickberger said.
