The BBC asked President Trump if he was disappointed with the level of the delegation that Russia sent to Turkey.
“Look, nothing will happen while Putin and I get together. Well?” Trump said.
“And obviously he wouldn’t go. He would go, but he thought I would go,” the president continued.
Trump’s comment comes after Russia said that President Vladimir Putin will not be on the list of officials who attend the peace talks in Istanbul, Turkey.
