SurfThe New app from flipboard In order to browse the Open Social Web, people are making their own custom feed easier to create and discover their interest. Instead of getting stuck in the algorithmically generated timeline designed by a social network, custom feeds allows you to create an experience of focusing on your favorite hobbies, sports, communities or any topic you want to follow.
With the introduction of the starter sets on Thursday, surf is facilitating the process of creating those custom feeds, personalized and even if you choose it is off-platform.
Feeds are made easy to control their social media experiences and to control their feed wrestling from technical giants like Meta and Google. Like startups Fodder And Skyfeid Already the days of blusky users Create their own custom feedHowever, these tools are designed with more technical users, not necessarily a mainstream social media customer.
On the other hand, starter sets are not sure how to start their hand in the feed-building, but how to get started.

Was launched by the end of last year Only in an invitation beeta, the second step of the original mission of the flipboard to correct the web. The company’s flagship flipboard app has allowed people to collect and organize posts from blogs, news websites and mainstream social media services, which turned into custom magazines. However, social services (like X) locked their APIs, limiting access to their content, looking for the open social web instead of flipboard. It eventually leads to the creation of a new application with surf.
Surf allows you to create and explore feeds that include social networks in Open Protocols, including bluski, mastodon, pixelfed, parteube and others, latest applications, threads, blogs, podcasts, YouTube videos, news sites, news sites, or RSS feeds.
New starter sets created by its team are pre-public with organized and proposed sources around popular categories.
For example, if you want to start a “hobby” feed, you can tap in that section and then look for sources for adding cycling, gaming, legos, books, baking, hiking, dancing, guitar, comics, boats, boats and many more.

Also, you can add your own social account feed from Mastoadon or Blocky and filter it by the selected topic. You can also use the search bar to add your own specific source, then use additional tools to filter those sources so that they only include posts that match the feed subject. (If your favorite Tech schola actively posts about politics it may be effective then you just want to track what they want to say about technology)))
Another new feature allows you to reveal your custom feed to BlueSky.
To do this, tap the Three-Dot menu in the title of the feed, then Tap “Release from Blusky” and the feed will appear on the Feeds tab of your blusky profile. (This feed will only include blusky content when it is seen on the Bluiceki application))
Surf is still only invited but regularly connected from it WaitlistThe
