Palestinian and Israeli representatives turn to the UN meeting

Riyadh Mansour, a permanent observer of Palestine of the UN, and Jonathan Miller, a deputy permanent representative for Israel in the UN, have addressed an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in New York.

Mansour said that while evaluating support statements from council members, this is not “enough”.

“You have to act. You have to do something about it. You have to stop it,” he told his colleagues.

Meanwhile, Miller has called on the ICC to focus on Hamas dismantling and that something less is “urgency but hypocrisy.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended his government’s plan to take over the city of Gaza, claiming that this was the “best way” to end the war.
