Pinterest tests an AI feature that lets advertisers turn their catalogs into shoppable collages

Pinterest is experimenting with “Auto-Culazes”, an AI feature that allow advertisers to quickly turn their product catalogs into shopping collages, agency Declaration This week.

The new feature is designed to make it easier to reach customers during advertisers’ time and creative resources, Pinterest says.

The company notes that collages are one of the most popular and attractive materials of General Z users, millions of collages have been created on the platform. In early tests, Pinterest has discovered that users have stored auto-collections at a double rate of standard product pin.

Auto-kulas work by combining products in the shopping visual content based on things like decorating ideas, user busyness, similar products and user storage. For example, the feature can combine the clothing together that creates a stylish clothing based on the existing look. Or, it can create a new collage that is similar to the existing collages that have seen the busy user’s busyness.

Also, the feature can select similar products and can turn them into a collage together. In other cases, auto-kulas can create a collage that users include products like products that have stored on their boards.
