Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskovski demanded a victory in the presidential election in Poland, but his winning margin in the exit poll is within the limit of the error.
An output survey, with a 3%error limit, immediately after the end of the vote, shows that TRZASKAKUBIKI wins at 50.3%, insignificantly more than its rival, conservative historian Carol Navy at 49.7%.
The official result must be published on Monday morning, said the head of the State Election Commission.
Trzaskowski asked for a victory over supporters of the supporters in Warsaw. “We won,” he said.
“We have won, although the phrase” The edge of the razor “will forever enter the Polish language and politics,” he added.
His wife, Malgorzote, jokingly said to the crowd, “I’m close to have a heart attack.”
Trzaskowski has promised to contact the voters who supported his opponent. I will be president for all Polish women and men, “he said.
Navy told his supporters that the result was too close to call.
“Let’s not lose hope for that night. We will win at night, the difference is minimal. I believe we will wake up with President Carol Naroki tomorrow,” he said.
The President of Poland is largely a ceremonial role with a limited influence on foreign policy and defense, but they may veto the legislation, and the government of the Donald Tusk coalition lacks a large enough parliamentary majority to cancel it.
The current conservative acting President Andrzej Duda uses his powers to prevent Prime Minister Tusk from fulfilling key promises of the campaign, including the elimination of political influence from the judiciary and the liberalization of the strict abortion law of the country.
If the victory of the TRZASKAKUSKI is confirmed that the obstacle will be eliminated and would allow Tusk to cement Poland’s place in the European mainstream.
However, Tusk is also confronted with its own coalition by the Party of Conservative Peoples on issues, including abortion and legalization of civic partnerships.
Victory for national conservative Carol Naroki, who is supported by the Opposition Law Party and justice (PI), would mean a prolonged conflict between the government and the president.
He will also recharge with PIs, which lost power 18 months ago, giving the party the conviction that he could continue to win parliamentary elections in 2027.
Both candidates support continuous assistance to neighboring Ukraine, although Navrocki said it was opposed to its entry into NATO and the EU until Russia continued its war for aggression.
Both men differ in their approach to the EU. Truzaskowski, a former Minister of Europe, supports Tusk’s vision for Poland at the heart of the European mainstream, influencing decisions through strong relations with Germany and France.
Deputy Leader of the Tusk Civil Platform, he has been the mayor of Warsaw since 2018.
He is the son of a well -known Polish jazz pianist, speaks in several languages and has been viewed by some voters as a member of the liberal elite of the country who is not in contact with ordinary Poles.
According to CBO’s turnout company, the typical TRZASKAKUSKI voter is 30-40 years old, is relatively good with left-wing liberal views and is open to LGBTQ+ and migrants rights. They tend to live in big cities and have positive EU views.
Some voters have said that he has tried to “artificially” present himself as a candidate who appreciates patriotism. During the campaign, he took a much more difficult line against illegal migration, something Tusk began to do before winning power in 2023 and he voluntarily engaged in basic military training.
The 42 -year -old funerals supports a strong sovereign Poland and does not want the country to give way to Brussels more. It opposes the EU cliver and migration policies. It is a conservative Catholic that gives priority to traditional family values.
He was a relatively unknown nationwide before being elected by the PI opposition party as their “unofficial” candidate.
A passionate amateur boxer and football player, he often publishes images of himself who trains, allowing Pista to present him as a strong candidate to defend the ordinary Poles and national interests of the country.
President Donald Trump’s fan, he flew to Washington during the campaign for an extremely short meeting to get a photo of his fingers with himself with the US president in the Oval Cabinet.
During the campaign, he was attacked by the government and the media that it was morally unfit to be president of the country, but the allegations did not reduce his support in the last week of the campaign.
During the presidential debate, Naroki said that he, like most pillars, owns an apartment. That turned out to be a lie.
Nawrocki was accused of taking advantage of a vulnerable adult citizen to acquire his advice on the council with a huge discount in exchange for promises of care that were unfulfilled. After the scandal, Naroki said he would donate the charity apartment, but always denied the accusation.
The Polish News OneS.Pl website has accused Nawrocki of helping to arrange sexual guest workers at the luxury grand hotel in the Baltic seaside resort of Sopot when he worked there as a security guard.
The story was based on anonymous sources, but ONET.PL said the witnesses swore that they would repeat the accusations under the oath in court. Nawrocki called the story a package of lies and said he would sue the website.
His opponents presented him as a football bully, who admired gangsters and neo -Nazi ultras. Nawrocki did not deny to participate in Hooligan Brawls as a younger man, calling them “noble battles”. He also said these allegations were an attempt to smear his reputation.
Some Nawrocki voters have told me that they do not believe in certain stories about him, saying that they are inventions of the main media supporting Tzaskowski.
