The Portuguese, governing the democratic alliance on the right in the center, won parliamentary elections – the third for so many years – again does not reach the majority.
Its leader Luis Montenegro has promised supporters to “stimulate investments” and “guarantee prosperity and social justice.”
Socialist leader Pedro Nuno Santos announced his resignation after his party ended in a second and lost so many places that he eventually ended with a door and right-hand fading newcomer.
The Socialists could even escape behind the CAP, if they were the results of voters abroad, who took a few days, looked at those of the election last year, when two of the four places went to the Cel and one to the Socialists.
Cassation leader Andrew Ventura said the “historical” result marks the end of the two -party domination in Portugal.
His campaign focused on issues of immigration and corruption, and the CAGA was probably assisted by the fact that these elections were also caused by scandals related to the Prime Minister of the day.
Montenegro, in his remarks to the supporters, thanked both his family and the “political family”, which protects him from attacks related to deals made by a company he created before becoming the party leader, and which is now owned by his sons.
It was the dispute that sparked the election after the government lost a vote of confidence.
In the meantime, Santos in his comments on separation reiterated his opinion that Montenegro was not fit to be Prime Minister, suggesting that the Socialist Party should not let the question fall.
