Turnetable Stallwarts Pro is aimed at fixing it. It has just launched a preorder for flatten IT, its first dedicated vinyl flattening machine. It is a tightly handsome molasses of aluminum, two 12 inches hot plates that heat up and back into the form of your valuable long players. Can it save your worst records? It does well in my experience.

There is nothing especially fancy, only a very accurate thermostat provides the ideal warmth to fix your shelacles. Once heated for about an hour, it will maintain a temperature of 136.4 degrees Fahrenheit (58 Celsius) and gently iron any vinyl warping. It will fluctuate only two degrees and once you leave two hours, the record can be safely removed at 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius).

The record will depend on Vinyl thickness for how long you press the record. Chunky 180 grams of pressings will take longer than more flexible and will become more tight for Dinflex records. I have to check on to work on the white labels of my cherished-wing-wing-walpod ’90s, before it flattens it, I need to test it a little less valuable.
